Born, raised and educated on Manhattan's upper east side, I know this city very well. I know the neighborhoods and have watched them evolve and change over the years.
That I should beinvolved in real estate is natural. After immigrating from Italy, my father started a contracting firm and built homes in Westchester, NY. And my sister, having been a successful real estate broker for over twenty years, has a vast pool of knowledge that I can draw from.
Graduating from City University of New York with my degree in finance, I worked in the financial services industry for over twelve years. My first experience was with a prominent pension investment and consulting firm, Frank Russell Company, in their client services division. I later joined the Rockefeller Family as part of their investment division, specializing again in client services. My experience with these prestigious organizations as the first contact for their clients, helped to develop my skills as a professional who can work with clients in a courteous, accurate and timely manner.
But aside from my involvement in finance and investments, I have also always stayed involved with another love of mine – animals. Over the years I have volunteered my time in various ways and for various animal welfare organizations: for the Animal Medical Center I helped in the sonogram unit as well as worked with my dog in their pet therapy program for the elderly in nursing homes; for the Humane Society of NY, I would take the larger dogs out for a walk in the mid-afternoon during my lunch break; for the ASPCA, I was an aide in the adoptions center and an early childhood educator of the humane treatment of animals (a program designed for NYC public school children); for the American Cancer Society I was on the board which worked to organize the yearly “Dogs Walk” in Riverside Park.
As for other interests or skills, being a first generation Italian-American, I have some knowledge of the Italian language but I am working on improving that; as well as improving my knowledge of photography and drawing.
But mostly in my “spare” time, or rather, when I'm not working, I am raising my child! But this is a whole other area of interest and expertise that would take to long to write about!
