Julie Cushman feels that in a big city like New York, where people live in such a high concentration of close quarters, the concept of space is extremely important. Julie's role as a real estate specialist is to find that special place buyers can call their own, and enjoy coming home to each day.
Originally from Houston, Texas, Julie came to New York to attend the Eugene Lang College at The New School for Liberal Arts where she earned her degree in Arts in Context, and is now a Co-chair of the Dean's Alumni Council. She immediately fell in love with the city's diversity, energy and architecture, and still considers New York the best place on earth – even after living in beautiful Italy for two years while in college! Julie's eye for art and design were further honed while working at a prominent Chelsea Gallery and at the renowned Christie's Auction House. Prior to following in her family's footsteps and entering real estate, she utilized her keen organizational and leadership skills in the non-profit world.
Today Julie's mission is to help others who are as captivated by New York find the best home in the right neighborhood for them. A Greenwich Village resident and co-op owner, she fully understands the difficulties of moving as well as the intricacies of purchasing a property. As such, Julie strives to make the process smooth and easy every step of the way with her attentive service, knowledge and guidance.
When not hard at work helping clients achieve their goals, Julie loves spending leisure time at art galleries and museums, working with the New York Junior League, trying new restaurants, and walking the streets with her dog to discover something new everyday.
