Halstead Management’s Paul Gottsegen Named Certified Property Manager of the Year

The Greater New York Chapter 26 of Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) honored Paul Gottsegen, executive vice president and director of management for the Halstead Management Company, LLC, with the “Certified Property Manager of the Year” award. The award was presented to Gottsegen at IREM’s Annual Inaugural Dinner & Awards ceremony held at Tavern of the Green.

The “Certified Property Manager of the Year” award is given to a member of IREM who consistently demonstrates dedication to the industry through professional competence and commitment to excellence. IREM is a national real estate organization dedicated to promoting high standards of education, experience and conduct for property management. The IREM chapter presenting the award is the Greater New York Chapter No. 26 which includes members from New York City, Westchester County and parts of northern New Jersey and Long Island.

“We are very proud of Paul and his achievements in the property management industry. With over 25 years of experience, he embodies all that the Certified Property Manager designation stands for,” said Alan Kersner, executive vice president, chief operating officer and chief financial officer of Terra Holdings, parent company of the Halstead Management Company. “Currently managing 8,000 multi-family units in New York City, Paul has achieved professional excellence through significant real estate management experience, initiative and integrity.”

Gottsegen serves as the Executive Vice President and Director of Halstead Management Company, LLC. He has over 25 years experience in real estate, encompassing all facets of rental, cooperative and condominium management. Prior to his leadership position with Halstead, Gottsegen was a Managing Director at the Insignia Residential Group and the Owner and Chief Executive of Soren Management, Inc. Before Soren Management, Inc., he served as a Vice President with Douglas Elliman-Gibbons & Ives.

Gottsegen is a New York State licensed real estate broker, an Honorary Member of the New York Building Managers' Association, an Honorary Associate Member of the Scandinavian American Building Managers Guild and a member of the Real Estate Board of New York. He holds the national designation of Certified Property Manager (CPM) awarded by the Institute of Real Estate Management in Chicago, Illinois.
